This week Generation Bass was recorded live at the legendary BBC Maida Vale studios, and hosted by the inimitable MC Sgt Pokes. The show was specially curated by the original 7 DJs from the seminal Dubstep Warz of 2006. They each selected one artist from the global bass scene to play an exclusive set for the show. Make way for the future sounds of Silkie and ConQuest, Kulture, Joker and MC Nomad, Starkey, Chef, Oneman, and Cyrus back-to-back!

Listened to it twice now. Big ups to the people that brought this set together. The first proper presentation of this young genre we’ve heard. The idea of having the founders of a genre hand select 7 DJs to represent the genre as a whole, all in one set… is just fking brilliant. Dubstep, you are officially grown up in our book.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SET to have on hand.

even if its not your thing, it never hurts to have a proper set for every genre

This is great. I’m going to second covertlogic. Along with the original “Dubstep Warz” (replayed on 8/13/08), it is a great set to have on hand. The chatting takes a bit (for me) to get used to, but it’s overall a pretty tight group of sets.
